Plus, you can enjoy a full day of exploring with a discounted family ticket – just £49 (usually £57)! That includes 24 hours of unlimited travel on our hop-on, hop-off buses and access to the Explorer Trail – perfect for families looking for exciting Oxford activities.
Collect and Claim your Reward
As you explore the city, complete tasks and collect stamps for your passport. Once full, head on over to either Carfax Tower, City Sightseeing Oxford Visitor Information Point on the High Street or Gloucester Green Travel Shop at Gloucester Green to claim your very own certificate, perfect for framing on your wall.

How it works
- Pick up your passport from the Visitor Information Point, Gloucester Green Travel Shop, Carfax Tower or one of our Ticket Sellers in the city.
- Hop aboard a City Sightseeing Oxford tour bus at your nearest stop.
- Explore six fun locations across the city.
- Take part in simple activities designed for children aged 2-8.
- Collect stamps from our friendly team at each location.
- Earn your Oxford Explorer Certificate when you’ve collected all 6 stamps!

Hop off the bus at any stop to explore, then hop back on when you’re ready for more!
This trail is built into the City Sightseeing route, making it easy for families to break the day into fun, manageable chunks.
And did you know that dogs are welcome on our City Sightseeing Oxford buses? So, if your family isn’t complete without your furry friend, bring them along for the ride. It’s an experience everyone can enjoy – tails and all!

- Oxford Explorer’s Passport Trail Dates: Available to all big and little people embarking on any of our open-top bus tours between 18th July and 30th September 2026 inclusive.
- Time: 9.30 am-5:00 pm. Note that opening times for participating venues on the trail may vary.
- Cost: The Oxford Explorer’s Passport Trail is free to anyone boarding our bus tours between 18th July and 30th September 2026.
- Parental supervision: Essential throughout the trail, as this is a self-led activity.
