Dog-Friendly Travel
We’re proud to be one of Oxford’s most dog-friendly tour operators!
All well-behaved dogs are welcome on our City Sightseeing Oxford buses (including assistance dogs, of course) as well as walking tours – completely free of charge. Dogs are also welcome at our Visitor Information Point on the High Street.

We kindly ask that owners be considerate of other customers and follow our simple guidelines to help everyone enjoy the Oxford experiences.
Doggy Do’s
- If you wish to travel on the bus with more than two dogs, please check with the driver upon boarding.
- We don’t want any lost pups – please ensure your dog boards the bus or joins the tour with you.
- Please ensure your dog is well-behaved and under control at all times, posing no danger or disturbance to others.
Doggy Don’ts
- Please don’t allow your dog to sit directly on the seat, as this could become unpleasant for other customers sitting on the seats or those with allergies. Sitting on your lap is fine.
- If there’s already another dog on board, the driver may need to use their discretion and may not be able to allow additional dogs to avoid any canine confrontations. But don’t worry – our buses run frequently, so you and your furry friend should be able to hop on the next one in no time!
For more information, please call +44 (0)1865 790522, and one of our colleagues will be able to help answer any additional questions.
Please note: This information applies only to tours and services operated directly by City Sightseeing Oxford. Some of our combined tickets include experiences or attractions run by partner organisations, and we can’t guarantee that these will be dog-friendly. We recommend checking with individual attractions before you visit to avoid disappointment.
