Dog-Friendly Travel

We’re proud to be one of Oxford’s most dog-friendly tour operators!

All well-behaved dogs are welcome on our City Sightseeing Oxford buses (including assistance dogs, of course) as well as walking tours – completely free of charge. Dogs are also welcome at our Visitor Information Point on the High Street.

Archie, the dog tester-in-chief for City Sightseeing Oxford, sits in front of the ticket counter. The counter displays the words: "City Sightseeing Oxford, Open Top Bus Tours, buy your tickets here."

We kindly ask that owners be considerate of other customers and follow our simple guidelines to help everyone enjoy the Oxford experiences.

For more information, please call +44 (0)1865 790522, and one of our colleagues will be able to help answer any additional questions.

Please note: This information applies only to tours and services operated directly by City Sightseeing Oxford. Some of our combined tickets include experiences or attractions run by partner organisations, and we can’t guarantee that these will be dog-friendly. We recommend checking with individual attractions before you visit to avoid disappointment.

Stops currently out of service

Stop 2 and 11 are temporarily out of service; we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Oxford Half Marathon

Due to the Oxford Half Marathon, a revised route will be in effect on Sunday, 12th October. We will not be able to run any of our bus tours until 12pm.

From the first bus at 12pm until approximately 3:00pm, the tour will operate from Stop 1 (Rail Station) up to Stop 11 only, with the return journey being non-stop back to the Rail Station.

Normal routing will resume around 3:00 pm, except for Stop 15 (Broad Street), which will remain closed for the entire day. We thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused by this necessary event diversion.
