4th October 2025

City Sightseeing Oxford is proud to announce its participation in Changing Lives Day, a global initiative led by City Sightseeing Worldwide to create lasting social impact. On Saturday 4th October, £1 from every ticket sold on our iconic open-top bus tours will be donated to help fund the construction of the first medical centre in Cacuaco, a municipality in Luanda, Angola.

This life-changing project, coordinated by City Sightseeing Cares, aims to provide essential healthcare and maternal services to a community where the nearest hospital is over 50 km away. The new facility will include consultation rooms, a maternity ward, and a pharmacy, ensuring access to vital care for thousands of residents.

Luke Marion, Managing Director of City Sightseeing Oxford, said:

“We’re proud to support each Changing Lives initiative delivered by our colleagues at City Sightseeing Cares. Our work in Cacuaco will have an immeasurably positive impact on the community and transform healthcare provisions locally. Every ticket purchased on 4th October will help us move closer to this goal.”

Launched in 2023, City Sightseeing Cares is the social responsibility arm of the global brand, committed to improving lives through donations, services, and community support. Last year, the programme provided clean water to more than 2,000 people in Peru’s Upper Amazon region. This year, the target is to raise £52,000 collectively across all City Sightseeing operators worldwide to make the Cacuaco medical centre a reality.

Visitors can join the effort by booking a tour at www.citysightseeingoxford.com or donating directly via City Sightseeing Cares.

Together, we can change lives – one ticket at a time.
