City Sightseeing Oxford is changing thousands of lives by contributing to the construction of a medical centre in Angola.
The iconic open-top bus tour provider is participating in a second Changing Lives Day to help raise the remaining funds needed to build the first medical centre in Cacuaco, a municipality in Luanda, Angola.
The first Changing Lives Day took place on 4th October, with City Sightseeing operators across the world securing 34 per cent of the funding needed to complete the project.
On 23rd May, City Sightseeing operators, including Oxford, will be donating £1 (or one euro or a dollar) for every bus tour ticket sold.
The new facility in Cacuaco will include consultation rooms, a maternity ward, and a pharmacy, ensuring access to essential healthcare for a community where the nearest hospital is more than 30 miles away.

Launched in 2023, City Sightseeing Cares is the social responsibility arm of City Sightseeing Worldwide, committed to improving lives through community support, donations and services. The Cacuaco project will see £52,000 raised in total.
In 2024, City Sightseeing Cares funded 12 water wells in 12 communities in the Upper Peruvian Amazon, providing access to clean water. Safe drinking water was previously extremely limited and posed a serious health risk, but more than 2,200 people have now directly benefited from the project. Partnerships were also formed with local education and health networks to strengthen the long-term impact.
